Fidan is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during his visit. Fidan plans to stress Turkey’s commitment to “achieving a fair and lasting peace in the Russia-Ukraine war,” the state-run news agency Anadolu reported on Saturday.
Fidan will reiterate that Turkey “is ready to do its part as a facilitator in the negotiations,” but he will also discuss other regional and international issues, “including Syria, Gaza and the South Caucasus,” Anadolu added.
Fidan will also meet with other high-level Russian officials, including Vice President Vladimir Medinsky and Defense Minister Andrey Belousov.
